Our 3-year-old sledding companion, Nuvak, is the result of an outcross breeding between one of Quinault's lead dogs, Quinault's Shameless Hussy WTDX, WLD ("Hussy"), and Storm Kloud's highly outstanding working dog, Ch. Storm Kloud's Rrising Market WTD, WWPD ("Broker") (full pedigree is in above link). Nuvak possesses excellent type and movement and exhibits her forebear's working qualities in both sledding and weight pull. In collaboration with Twila Baker of Quinault Alaskan Malamutes, we have chosen a match for her first breeding that emphasizes sledding/freighting capability within lines that excel in the show ring. A late-June breeding was carried out with Quinault's Speak of the Devil ("Isaak") (full pedigree linked above and to name), sired by Ch. Sno Shire's Ice Slick ROM, WTD ("Titan") and Ch. Quinault's Jamaican Me Crazy ("Jammy"). Nuvak had 6 puppies on August 27, all healthy and vigorous.
