A 5-week survey of the literature on planet detection techique. Key topics include star/planet formation, indirect techniques such as radial velocity, astrometry, and transit studies, together with direct imaging with methods that suppress the glare of the central star, especially nulling interferometry and coronagraphy.Grade will be based on weekly homework assignments.
